A Small World
To experiment in other areas of photography I decided to use a macro lens to create images that would represent “A Small World”, I looked at a range of photographers who work with these ideas and found that I could attempt to create my own versions of these images.
The above image is my personal favourite as every detail in the image has been precisely constructed. The grass and the ant in the foreground are in focus, whilst everything behind them is blurred. In particular I liked how the spots of light in the background reflected Bokeh.
I attempted to copy this style of photography and was pleased with the results. The composition of the image above highlights the colour and as the red berry stands out from its muted natural surroundings. Although I did not have a creature to make my focal point, I adapted so that I would still have a similar image.
