Final Images
Overall, I feel that my final images were very successful, the varied textures, composure and perspectives within each of my final images shows contrast without being overpowering and resulting in a set of images that do not work as a single body of work.
Again, the studio lighting creates a stark contrast between subject and background. In this case the blank space covers the majority of the image in the centre of the frame, whilst the subjects are almost exactly split into the first quarter and the fourth quarter of the frame. Likewise when Focussing on the positioning of the subjects in a horizontal manner, they occupy the centre of the frame leaving blank space beneath.
As the subjects of the image are blonde and brunette, this photo greatly fits the theme of contrast, even with the colours drained in the monotone edit. Both subjects are in direct path of the light, yet the blonde subject is significantly more exposed, this is due to how the light reflects off lighter colours more than darker hues because these darker hues absorb light.
With regards to texture and pattern, the smooth waves of the brunette subjects hair create a soft flowing transition into the dark, whereas the highlights and range of shades in the blonde subjects hair result in a much sharper contrast with the background.

I like this photo as the opaque background frames the subject as the lighting diffuses creating a clean transition between the subject in the foreground and the blank background. The detail is flattering for the subject due to the subtle contrast.
This photo is another example of how the warmer natural light, whenever it is controlled produces softer more natural shadows and highlights. The composure of this image is quite abstract as the primary subject facing the camera is not entirely in the frame. By using two subjects the contrast is increased as the variation in exposure to lighting and skin tone.

This photo is, in my opinion the strongest of the set. The slightly off centred structure and harsh shadows frame the subject in a flattering way. The reflection of the solitary beam of light from the left highlights the subject in a much harsher contrast than the other pieces.
This photo almost acts as a transition between studio lighting and natural light, this is due to the light intensity on the bulb being lower initially. I particularly light the way the subject fits into the frame and the position of the subject, because of the direction of light, her face is almost exactly separated into two equal parts of contrasting highlight and shadow.
